Motion to Adjourn

*The Warrendale Appliance store at the corner of Eliot Street and Centre Street (781 Centre Street) in Jamaica Plain has installed large, lighted, flashing, digital window signs in both its Eliot Street windows and its Centre Street windows. The signs are on 24 hours a day and face historic buildings on Centre Street (the 18th century Loring-Greenough House) and, at the other corner of Eliot and Centre Streets, the First Church) as well as the Soldiers Monument that has graced Monument Square in Jamaica Plain since its dedication in September 1871. Neighborhood representatives have spoken directly with the manager of Warrendale Appliance several times since the store opened to complain about these inappropriate digital signs but they remain in action. (Kevin M.)
